Скучно: вот они, майки Nike из серии NBA Select Series 2025-26

Nike has officially rolled out its 2025-26 NBA Select Series, a new collection of special edition jerseys meant to honor some of the league's biggest stars. According to the brand, the series is a "celebration of players that fully immerse themselves on the court and in the paint," with the designs supposedly "rooted in textures and colors that emulate the intensity of the game." However, while the marketing language from Nike emphasizes uniqueness and individual player style, a closer look at the collection reveals a surprisingly consistent design template applied to every single jersey.

It is important to note that these jerseys will never be worn in an official NBA game and are just made for the fans.

NBA 2025-26 Select Series Jerseys

The core design for the 2025-26 Select Series follows a simple formula. Each jersey starts with a dark base color of the team's claasic color, e.g dark green for the Bucks, dark purple for the Lakers, or dark blue for the Warriors. Overlaid on this dark base is a chaotic, abstract pattern rendered in a lighter, contrasting color from the team's palette. This pattern, which looks like a mix of digital static, paint splatter, and pixelation, is the "texture" Nike refers to. The team's wordmark or logo and the player's number are then placed on top of this busy background.

While the specific colors and logos change from team to team, the fundamental structure of a dark base with an abstract pattern and standard logos remains identical across the entire eight-jersey collection. This "copy-paste" approach seems to contradict the marketing claim of celebrating the unique style of each individual player, suggesting a more streamlined production effort rather than bespoke creative designs.

Each shirt’s pattern varies slightly, as the design is printed on a large roll of fabric and then cut (at random points) for individual pieces. This production method naturally introduces a degree of randomness, letting every shirt look more unique than it actually is.

Milwaukee Bucks - Giannis Antetokounmpo

Memphis Grizzlies - Ja Morant

Boston Celtics - Jayson Tatum

Phoenix Suns - Kevin Durant

Los Angeles Lakers - LeBron James

Dallas Mavericks - Luka Dončić

Denver Nuggets - Nikola Jokić

Golden State Warriors - Stephen Curry

Additionally, due to the long lead times in jersey production, the collection serves as a unique snapshot in time. Two of the eight honored players, Kevin Durant and Luka Dončić, have since moved to new teams, making their Select Series jerseys an instant collector's item for fans of their former clubs but also pretty outdated just after the launch.
