Teammates must maintain strict uniformity across accessories, requiring arm sleeves, headbands, wristbands, and undergarments to match in style and appear entirely in black, white, or official team colors.

Furthermore, the NBA strictly regulates brand visibility: no commercial, charitable, or technology logos are permitted on apparel or body accessories aside from official Nike branding on approved items and Wilson on the game ball.

The poster also reinforces long-standing on-court regulations regarding jersey presentation and footwear. Jerseys and short drawstrings must remain tucked in at all times, with shorts prohibited from hanging lower than seven inches above the knee. Warm-ups

  • Color must be entirely white, entirely black, or within team color assortment.
  • No logo design permitted with exception of Nike.

Wristbands

  • Teammates must wear same style and color.
  • Color must be entirely white, entirely black, or within team color assortment.
  • Can only be worn on wrist, forearm or elbow.
  • Only one wristband – max 5" wide – per arm.
  • Can contain initials, first or last name only (not both) and/or uniform number.

Rubber Wristbands

  • Must consist of rubber material.
  • Only one wristband – max 1" wide – per wrist.
  • Must fit snugly on the wrist.
  • No unauthorized commercial, promotional or charitable designation or technology permitted.

Socks

  • Teammates must wear same color.
  • Must lay no higher than 1" below knee.
  • Both socks must be same height and style.
  • Cut-off socks are not permitted.
  • Ankle braces must be entirely white or black; tape/wrap must be entirely white, black, clear, or match sock color.
  • NBA logo must be visible on the outside part of the leg.

Sneakers

  • No flashing lights, adornments or other elements that are overly metallic, reflective or otherwise visually distracting.
  • No unauthorized commercial, promotional or charitable designation or technology permitted.

Headband

  • Teammates must wear same style and color.
  • Color must be entirely white, entirely black or within team color assortment.
  • Max 2.5" wide.
  • Must be worn on head only.
  • NBA logo must be present and right side up.

Undergarments / Compression Tank Tops & Shorts

  • Teammates must wear same color compression undergarments (tank tops and shorts do not have to match).
  • Color must be white, black or within team color assortment.
  • Tanks must not be visible under game jersey.

Jersey & Shorts

  • Jersey must be tucked in at all times.
  • Short strings must be tucked in at all times.
  • Shorts may lay no lower than 7" above knee.
  • Inner waistband must not be visible.

Leg Accessories

  • No logo design permitted with exception of Nike.
  • Teammates must wear same color; must be same color as compression bottoms.
  • Color must be white, black or within team color assortment.

Miscellaneous

  • No unauthorized commercial, promotional or charitable name, mark, logo or other identification can be displayed on player's body, hair, uniform or otherwise.
  • All specialized equipment must be approved by the NBA prior to wearing (e.g. face mask, clear, etc. not tinted; non-reflective eyewear, compression shirt, finger splint, etc.).
  • No name, logo or visible technology permitted anywhere on the uniform.
  • No items protruding from mouth (e.g. straw, toothpick, etc.).
  • No jewelry (e.g. earrings, necklaces, nose rings, etc.).
  • Mouth guards must be one color – white, black, clear or within team color assortment, without logos or text when exception of team logo and must take the form of the mouth.
