Will the Sacramento Kings Shift Away From Purple?

A few weeks ago, the Sacramento-based franchise has announced their usage of a new wordmark. According to shop worker sources by twitter user @SacramentoKing the Kings could eventually move on from purple as their main color.

i have been told by members of the team store that a rebrand shifting away from purple is coming. not 100% sure, just what i heard from multiple workers

As described in the tweet above, this information can‘t be confirmed at this stage. What could indicate a color change is that Sacramentos least used jersey in the 22-23 season was the Icon Edition Jersey (purple). It was only worn a total of 14 times in the 22-23 regular season with a record of 8 wins and 6 losses.
