What happened to Nike NBA Earned Edition Jerseys?

Since Nike signed a 8 year deal with the NBA that began in the 2017-18 season, the US sports firm has released Earned Edition jerseys in a total of 2 seasons. However, since they were last released in the 2020-21 season, they never came back.

The Earned Edition Jerseys were first introduced in the 2018-19 jersey and traditionally honors the teams which made the post-season in the previous season. After the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus in 2020, Earned Jersey Editions were never released again. Since Nike and the NBA have not released an official statement about this, many fans from around the world are wondering why the Earned Edition jerseys were never released again.
