Michael Jordan "Last Dance" Jersey Sells for Record-breaking $10.1 Million
A few days ago a Match-Worn Jersey by legendary Basketball Jersey Michael Jordan was sold on Sotheby, one of the world‘s largest auction houses.
The Jersey was worn in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA finals, the players so-called “Last Dance” season with the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan scored an incredible 45 points in this jersey against the Utah Jazz.
With a fee of $10.1m it set a new record for the most expensive game-worn sports memorabilia ever. The previous record was held by Diego Maradona‘s iconic "Hand of God“ jersey. The originally estimated Price of the jersey was around $5 million.
It almost triples the record of the most expensive basketball jersey ($3.7m), previously held by Kobe Bryant.
