Kyrie Irving Signs Anta Shoe Deal

Dallas Mavericks point guard Kyrie Irving has announced a new long-term footwear partnership with Anta, confirming the previous rumors.

The collaboration will involve Irving serving as the Chief Creative Officer of Anta Basketball and launching his own namesake sneaker during the 2023-24 NBA season.

“Being appointed as Anta Basketball’s Chief Creative Officer is more than just a realization of my dreams; in fact, it may be the perfect opportunity for me, an individual who always dreams big and values independent thinking, to leverage my artistic talents to build, create, and unify the culture both on and off court,” said Irving.

The partnership aims to enhance performance, inspire athletes, and promote an inclusive basketball culture through signature product releases and collaborative initiatives, including youth basketball camps. Anta sees Irving's popularity and successful shoe sales as an opportunity to drive massive sales across its retail stores in Asia.

Irving had been in negotiations for a new shoe deal since parting ways with Nike in November. He joins Anta on a five-year deal, expected to extend throughout his playing career.
