Conor McGregor Knockouts Miami Heat Mascot During NBA Finals

During Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami, the man portraying Miami Heat mascot Burnie experienced an unfortunate incident involving UFC star Conor McGregor. The popular saying, "it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt," actually proved true in this case.

Following an on-court skit, McGregor punched Burnie not once, but twice, leading the mascot performer to seek medical attention at a local emergency room on Friday night. As per The Athletic, the individual behind the Burnie costume received pain medication, was subsequently discharged, and is currently in good health.

The skit involved Burnie, donning a fighter's robe and oversized gloves, assuming a fighting stance and approaching McGregor at midcourt. However, McGregor, who was promoting a pain-relief spray, threw a powerful left hook that knocked Burnie down, and while the mascot was lying face-up on the floor, McGregor delivered a straight punch to the headgear protecting Burnie's face.
