10 Brand New NBL 2022-23 Heritage Jerseys Revealed

A few days ago, all NBL teams have unveiled their new 2022-23 Heritage uniforms. The jerseys will be worn in the coming up round 16 of the NBL season. Whether it's a remake of a classic strip, a homage to past days, or a re-application of old school colourways, these jerseys will most certainly be fond of by fans in Australia or around the world.

Adelaide 36ers

The jersey is a modern re-make of the strip worn in game two of their 1998 championship triumph over the South East Melbourne Magic. The title kickstarted a run of three rings in five years for Adelaide.

Brisbane Bullets

The jersey pays homage to the first jersey the club ever wore in 1979 which was the inaugural season of the NBL.

Cairns Taipans

Illawarra Hawks

The Illawarra Hawks 22-23 jersey pays homage to the first ever Hawks jersey worn in 1979.

Melbourne United

Melbourne United aim towards the future with their Heritage unis and saw it as an opportunity to incorporate new colours into their jersey.

New Zealand Breakers

Perth Wildcats

Perth is paying homage to its legendary team of the 1990's when they reached five grand finals in nine seasons which was a run that brought home four championships.

S.E. Melbourne Phoenix

The green background on which the word “Heartland“ is visibly displayed pays homages to the Dandenong Ranges mountain that overlooks the south-eastern region of the city.

Sydney Kings

Sydney has paid tribute to its electric period through the early 1990's with its heritage strip. Although they didn’t win a championship in the 90s‘, the team contained some of the biggest NBL superstars like Steve Carfino or Tim Morrissey.

Tasmania JackJumpers

Since the Hobart Devils dissolved in 1996 the state of Tasmania had been without a sporting team to call its own. With the JackJumpers inclusion in the NBL in 2021 that changed. The JackJumpers have drawn on that Devils heritage for their uni and have recreated the jersey that meant so much for tasmania for over a decade.
