Sacramento Kings 2023 Wordmark + Jerseys Teased
The Sacramento Kings have revealed an updated script wordmark and offered a sneak peek at their upcoming uniforms through a video shared on social media on Tuesday.
Sacramento Kings 2023 Wordmark - to Feature on 23-24 Jerseys
The new wordmark is reminiscent of the design previously featured on the Kings' home and road uniforms during the periods of 1985-1994, as well as on various alternate and classic edition uniforms in later years. The use of a script in the team's branding can be traced back to their days as the Cincinnati Royals in the 1971-1972 season. In their most recent City Edition uniform in 2021-2022, the script wordmark "Sactown" was prominently displayed.
This marks the first major update to the Kings' Association (white) and Icon (purple) uniforms since the introduction of a new logo prior to the 2016-2017 season. However, the team had previously replaced the "KINGS" wordmark on the Icon uniform with "SAC" in the following year.

Details regarding the official unveiling date of the new uniforms or any potential changes to the team's logo set remain unknown. Nevertheless, the conclusion of the teaser video suggests that the distinctive colors of purple and black will continue to play a significant role in the Kings' color scheme, despite their historical association with blue and red.
