Die NBA-Finals-Spielfelder werden wieder mit dem Larry O'Brien Trophy-Logo versehen sein.

Following widespread criticism regarding the minimalist court designs used during the 2025 NBA Finals, the league has announced it will reintroduce the iconic Larry O'Brien Trophy graphic to the hardwood. The decision, reported by Shams Charania of ESPN, responds directly to fan demand for the return of the classic visual, which has been absent from the championship series since 2009. The change will take effect starting with the 2025-26 NBA season.

The Return of the Larry O'Brien Trophy on Finals Courts:

The criticism of the 2025 Finals court, which many fans found "boring," and the unpopularity of experimental digital on-court designs, amplified calls for a return to the traditional trophy graphic. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver had previously acknowledged the "nostalgic" value of the design for fans and alluded to its potential return after receiving feedback.

In a key change from past applications, the trophy will be painted directly onto the hardwood rather than applied as a decal. This new method addresses long-standing player safety concerns, as the league had originally discontinued the on-court trophy because players frequently slipped on the decal surface.
